One of the first questions I get from folks is “how long is an intensive, and how often?” As with almost everything, the answer depends!
What can you address in a therapy intensive?
Many people, therapists and clients, are doing therapy intensives lately. One question that comes up often is “what can you address during a therapy intensive?”
In short, almost anything! Of course, this will vary from counselor to counselor, but generally speaking, most concerns can be addressed through an intensive model. Here are the ones that I personally do the most.

With Brainspotting being a newer technique, there’s a lot of questions about it. I thought I would take this time to discuss some myths and truths about it.
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a brain-based therapy treatment that uses your eye location to access your deep brain for healing. It was developed by David Grand, PhD, while he was doing an EMDR session with a client. He noticed her eyes moving while processing, so he intuitively held her gaze in that spot. From there, she was able to process previous traumas and make breakthroughs that she hadn’t been able to make during months of EMDR.
